Last Year's Legislative Night
LCMS and Weld County Medical Society hosted their seventh joint Legislative Night on October 6th. Over 90 guests attended the annual event. Joining the physicians were State Representatives B.J. Nikkel, John Kefalas, Glenn Vaad, Randy Fischer, and Senator Bob Bacon. Representatives from Congresswoman Markey’s office and Senator Bennet’s office were also in attendance. Candidates from state legislative races attended as did representatives from Ken Buck’s office. Candidate Cory Gardner addressed the physicians and guests prior to the electronic tabulating of issues. Chris Adams facilitated the event and had results shown instantly on an overhead which led to legislators and physicians sharing their perspectives on each of the given issues.
Larimer County Medical Society actively advocates on behalf of the physicians of Larimer County and works with the Colorado Medical Society to follow bills while the legislature is in session. For more information go to:
