Practice/Office Management Resources
Your physician's membership in the Larimer County Medical Society also entitles your office personnel to the Colorado Medical Society's practice management resources. Since March of 2002, the Health Care Financing Division has been hosting health plan meetings and educational seminars for office staff. The meetings have consisted of a general Q&A with the plans, an Electronic Showcase featuring the electronic capabilities of various plans and vendors, and numerous training seminars focusing on the administrative side of the physicians' practice.
Beginning January 2007, the Division will host Brown Bag Teleconference Programs specifically developed for the physicians' office administrative personnel. These programs are not intended to be full training sessions rather they are refresher courses on recurring problems, or informational updates on industry changes.
The Brown Bag Teleconference Programs will be held the third Tuesday of every month over the lunch hour (12:00-1:00 PM). Once the program announcement has been posted you can register online. (Note: If you are a CMS LiveWire subscriber you will automatically receive notification regarding program registration.) There will be a minimal charge for participation in the program
